One of the new fantasy shows on Netflix is based on the novel series by Leigh Bardugo. Alina, the lead girl, discovers magical powers that might help her save her country. While a group of thieves has their plans on the other side of the ocean. The show is designed to be enjoyable for those who have read the books and have not. 

Lupin

This french thriller became the brand new thing everyone talked about on the internet. The show follows the adventures of Arsen Lupin, a thief who is set out to avenge the death of his only sister. The show is captivating with a daring heist, a bit of style, and the charismatic lead, Omar Sy. This is one binge-worthy show on Netflix, with a season 2 coming soon. 

Dead To Me

A comedy based with a touch on comedy makes it a must-watch show. Two completely polar opposite pals meet through unfortunate events and learn to go through grief and various life problems together. The charming duo brings a new meaning to tragicomedy. 

Big Mouth

An animated show on Netflix based around the childhood of comedian Nick Kroll in New York City. The show follows a group of seven graders discovering puberty and hormones that take the form of monsters that sit on their shoulders. The show is cringe-worthy and crazy; it is also just as hilarious.

Queer Eye

An LGBTQ+ friendly show follows a group of 5 people as they make over different people. The Fab Five as they call themselves have different specialties (fashion, food, design, grooming, and culture), each carrying their own different personas. 

The show focuses on helping various people with moving stories, discover their style and gain confidence by the end of every episode. 

The Good Place

Kristen Bell stars in this binge-worthy show that is based on what the afterlife is like. Kristen’s character, Eleanor, is a self-centered person that ends up in the supposedly wrong place after dying. The show has plenty of twists and turns that always lead to a direction that can not be guessed. All four seasons are on Netflix making it a show that can be binged from the start to finish, leaving you with eyes glued to the screen. 

The Crown

Based on the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the start of her reign until the present day. It follows her from just before her coronation when she married Prince Philip showing her as not only a queen but as a wife and a mother. We see her juggle a personal life while running the country as a sovereign. The actor changes as the show proceeds showing different parts of Queen Elizabeth II’s life. The show is packed with drama and highlights from different parts of Britain’s long history.

BoJack Horseman

A 90s actor that failed in the show business, spiraling into depression, drugs, and sex, is the entire premise of this show.He is obsessed with how life used to be and drowning in self-pity while also trying not to ruin the few good things in his life. Did we mention that he is also a horse? He and his best friend, Todd, stand side-by-side going through day-to-day life. An animated show about a self-destructive horse-man will have anyone watching in tears from laughter or just in tears.

Designated Survivor

An American political thriller that will have anyone on the edge of their seat. A show following the president of the USA, along with the cabinet, dies in an attack during a meeting at the Capitol, leaving a lowly cabinet minister, Thomas Kirkman, that never made it to the meeting as the next president of the country. The show follows Thomas learning how to rise to the occasion and lead the people and his newly formed government. 

Tuca and Bertie

Tuca and Bertie, an animated show that flew under the radar by many, is a show created by the designers of BoJack. The show follows a songbird and a toucan sharing an apartment, with clashing personalities leading their waves into adulthood while being best friends.
